Bogdan and Callidus Invictum UPE running to the first place (Canicross man category)!
Last weekend we had Sled Dog Races at a beautiful Regional Park.
Competed participants from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Russia.

More and more UPE’s kennel dogs are joining this nice sport with wonderful results. There were 2 youngsters – Cito Ventus UPE and Callidus Invictum UPE. As well older male from litter “Baltia” – Baltia Utu UPE.

I am specially happy and proud about young brothers Cito (Cito Ventus UPE) and Invi (Callidus Invictum UPE). It was their very first races with no or very little training and they were pulling as tractors. Both of them received first places at their categories with competition. Viktorija, Bogdan – you rule!
My most beloved Upe and me remembered the “old” days and checked the scooter. That was so amazing to fly through the forest with my girl just as 6 years ago!

I was looking for information about canicross and came across this blog post. I proceeded to check out your website and really like the information and photography you provide.
My wife and I are avid runners, and own a 2 year old GSP named Gunther. We have taken Gunther on many runs, which he absolutely loves to do. But we have had some difficulty with pulling and are looking into getting him a harness to have better control over his pace without running the risk of injuring his neck when pulling on his collar.
I was wondering if you had any particular suggestions for sizing a GSP for a running harness. Gunther has an accentuated barreled chest, and I understand that inappropriately sized harnesses or backpacks could result in serious injuries like bloat. Do you use a particular brand of harness for your dogs?

The harness are necessary when running and dog is pulling, otherwise is a high risk of damaging trachea.
The size of harness is measured by the size of barrelled chest and even breed specific. Pointer has a protruding sternum while Husky doesn’t.
